For my role, I contributed to the social media campaign via Instagram by editing presentations into smaller, engaging parts suitable for Instagram's format. These edited presentations offered bite-sized pieces of valuable content from Mr. Brooks' back catalog of information, making it accessible and shareable. This was a great strategy because it engaged the algorithm that engaging content was happening in the weeks leading up to the book launch. We knew incredible content was coming in the form of podcast interviews (like Tim Ferriss, Rainn Wilson, Rich Roll, Simon Sinek, Hala Taha, and more), TV appearances (CBS Sunday Morning, MSNBC, etc.), and magazine articles - which would all be shared on the account, but by "chumming the water" ahead of time, setting a precedent, and engaging so many with great insight from the back catalog, Instagram was working for the campaign.
The ten Instagram shorts resulted in over 155,000 views in the weeks leading up to the launch.
